Jason is a professionally experienced Multi-Media Artists. He has an impressive background as a Display Designer who specialized in making Styrofoam Sculptures. As an exhibit artist, Jason's modes of expression are primarily via painting, drawing (charcoal, pencil and chalk); as well as making sculptures & or useful implements from clay, ceramics, pottery, Paper Mache and of course Styrofoam. Those are Jason's main areas of artistic proficiencies, but like most artist, he loves learning about and trying new artistic methods making his actual skill set much more varied than we've alluded to.
Linda began making and designing hats for clients and boutiques over 30 years ago. For several years she taught hat making workshops for Minnesota Fabrics and for a Metro Detroit Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. In 2017 she launched Hat Moments and began speaking on the History of Hats for historical societies, libraries, Derby events and more. The education division of her company, Hat Moments 2, is where she shares her expertise of hat making. is an excellent seamstress and a veteran costumer. She is the Second Vice President of the American Sewing Guilds Detroit Costume Designers Group as well as the Lead Costumer for the West Bloomfield High School Drama Troupe. As if that weren't impressive enough, Mayas work has graced professional and amateur stages, weddings, fairs, conferences, and conventions. Maya's costuming experience is not limited to cut and sew patterns. True to her expertise, Maya has completely refashioned clothing, shoes, hair, jewels. . . to develop complete era appropriate fashions. WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!! Maya is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Costume and Fashion Design and Cultural Dress.
Andrea has extensive experience as a sewing instructor. For several years Andrea sold sewing machines and facilitated classes for new machine owners for Elna and Husqvarna. She has taught sewing and a variety of needle crafting classes at several Metro Detroit area facilities, in her home and through Creative Circle - A company that manufactured Needle Craft kits and provided NeedleArt instructions via home party's. Andrea is proficient in several NeedleArt disciplines and is looking forward to teaching as many people, who want to learn, as she can.
